Kimbala Country Escape – The Stockman’s House
Simple farm stay accommodation near Kilcoy, Qld in the Somerset Region.
Welcome to Kimbala Country Escape, a peaceful Kilcoy farm stay tucked off Kilcoy Murgon Road in Monsildale via Kilcoy, Queensland.
We want this to feel like your own farm stay home.
The kind of stay where you park the car, put the kettle on, and take a big breath out.
Whatever relax means to you, there’s space for it here.
Sleep in. Wander the paddocks. Read under a tree. Cook until your heart’s content in either the in or outdoor kitchen. Watch the sky change.
We’ve had guests come with books, cameras, sketchpads and puzzles. Some get up early and explore. Others don’t leave the verandah. That’s the beauty of it – there’s no one way to Kimbala.

A farm stay with history
The Kennedy family have lived on this land since 1906. The Stockman’s House used to be home to the stockmen who worked the property and it still holds that energy. That grit and groundedness. That sense of being part of something.
We’ve modernised a few things but the spirit of the place is the same. It’s not five-star. And it was never meant to be.
It’s the kind of home that helps you let go. Let go of noise. Let go of the push to do. Let go of needing to be anywhere else.
Make yourself at home
